A recent report by Bloomberg details the findings, stating that some of the attacks have been traced back to a 16-year old living in his mother’s home near Oxford, England. House Democrats introduced a bill last week that would give individuals making $75,000 or less $100 when gas prices exceed $4 per gallon. Reps. Mike Thompson, D-Calif., John Larson, D-Conn., and Lauren Underwood, D-Ill., introduced the bill, known as the Gas Rebate Act of 2022.
The proposal, according to a press release on Rep. Thompson’s website, wound send individuals making $75,000 or less — or joint filers making $150,000 or less — $100 every time gas prices go above $4 per gallon in any month for the rest of the year. |
