Stroker DeLuca has been a fixture in the Vancouver hip-hop scene since 1999 producing for the likes of Snak The Ripper, Matt Brevner, Evil Ebenezer, Greg Beamish, Northwest Division and was a performing member of west coast hip-hop group Def Poets Society.
Stroker DeLuca’s Private Collection successfully showcases a list of talented Artists emerging from Vancouver’s hip-hop, rap and r&b communities. The album features 16 performers who share their talents over 12 original productions composed, arranged and mixed from top to bottom by DeLuca himself. New York City’s Hip-Hop scene has undergone a transformation of sorts in recent years. With new artists pulling musical inspiration from other regions. Many of these newcomers completely abandon their NYC roots for the southern aesthetic. With that said, Bronx native Swave HMG, leader of the Tally Global collective, releases his full length project titled ‘Legendary’. The album finds the upstart mixing a unique brand of golden era NY aesthetics with a new school sensibility. The 14 track project, with majority of the production handled by Dizzybanko, features standout songs such as “Its Whateva” and “Wrong Ni**a”, which have already been gaining heavy traction on major NYC radio. Having been stamped and co-signed by some of rap’s elite, Swave HMG is sure to be a fixture on your music playlist.
Bronx, NY native Haitian Jak has been steadily making his bones on the underground scene, appearing on star studded tracks, while also performing at some of the most prestigious venues in the country. Signed to Specialyst Entertainment, under the tutelage of Torch, of Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group, Haitian Jak has all the experience necessary to take him to the next level, having been surrounded by so many of the industry’s elite. Today, he steps out on his own by releasing his DJ Martian & DJ Instynctz hosted project “Machete”, which is nod to his west indian roots. The 14 track mixtape features contributions from Torch, Chinx of the Coke Boys, Cortez and more.
