Production on the new Bad Boys movie has reportedly been halted due to the aftermath from Will Smith's Oscars smack. Will Smith's actions at last weekend's Oscars ceremony have gotten considerably more attention and press than they would have gotten if it had been allowed to pass in the same way as the other jokes targeted at the celebrities in attendance on the night. Despite Rock's refusal to press criminal charges against Smith, The Academy was forced to initiate an investigation to determine what action to take. However, Smith appears to have decided to take matters into his own hands and resigned his membership in The Academy yesterday. However, new information from THR suggests that there could be additional ramifications for the actor.
