According to rumors in the United States, Colin Kaepernick has been training with the Las Vegas Raiders in preparation for a return to the NFL.
In 2016, the 34-year-old took a knee during the national anthem before San Francisco 49ers games to protest racial injustice. Since opting out of his contract that year, quarterback Colin Kaepernick has not played professionally. According to ESPN and the NFL Network, he participated in a Raiders tryout on Wednesday. In October 2017, Kaepernick filed a grievance against NFL owners, alleging that teams were colluding against him in order to keep him from being hired because of his demonstrations. In February of this year, the dispute was resolved. The official schedule for the New Orleans Saints will not be released until 7 p.m. tonight, but all of the game dates and locations have already been leaked, with more information on the schedule expected throughout the day.
To start the season, the Saints face a three-game divisional schedule, with the Buccaneers, led by Tom Brady, visiting the Caesar's Superdome in Week 2. Click below to see the full schedule. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Mathieu's contract with New Orleans is a three-year, $33 million deal with $18 million completely guaranteed. Mathieu, a St. Augustine High School and LSU graduate, spent the previous three seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs.
He has played for the Cardinals, Texans, and Chiefs since entering the NFL and is currently one of the most sought-after free agents. The Saints' failure to address the safety position in the recent NFL draft has fueled speculation.

What appeared to be a losing cause for Kansas turned into one of the sweetest victories in Kansas history. In an epic duel of power programs, the Jayhawks brought their fourth NCAA title back to Allen Fieldhouse on Monday, thanks to a second-half burst that overturned a 16-point hole and eventually defeated North Carolina 72-69.
It was the biggest comeback in national championship history, surpassing Loyola's 60-58 victory over Cincinnati at the buzzer in the 1963 title game. After making the game's final two baskets, Kansas big man David McCormack stated, "We just locked in as a family, as a team, and that's what we do." "Despite the odds, we succeed. We triumph against hardship. This is exactly what we were made for." With 1:21 left in the game, McCormack made the game-winning hoop from close range, followed by another at the 22-second mark to put the Jayhawks up 2-1.

The Indianapolis Colts may have found another short-term answer at quarterback by trading for Matt Ryan. How much longer the soon-to-be 37-year-old, four-time Pro Bowler sticks around isn’t clear. On Monday, Indy acquired the 2016 NFL MVP from Atlanta for a third-round pick in this year’s draft (No. 82 overall).
The Falcons wasted no time findingg Ryan’s possible replacement — announcing they’d signed free agent Marcus Mariota to a two-year contract. For Indy, the deal completes a two-week search for a successor to Carson Wentz, who was traded to the Washington Commanders after just one season with the Colts. For Indianapolis general manager Chris Ballard, it’s also the latest attempt to plug a hole created by Andrew Luck’s surprise retirement at age 29 just before the start of the 2018 season.
