Matthew Gregory McLaughlin, an Orange County attorney, filed the so-called Sodomite Suppression Act on Feb. 24 with the state's Office of the Attorney General. McLaughlin's proposed law would also ban gays - whom he refers to as "sodomites" - from holding public office. Under his proposed law, people found guilty of spreading "sodomite propaganda" would be fined $1 million or see jail time. nyone can file a prospective state ballot measure at a $200 fee, and the public has 30 days to respond before the attorney general publishes a summary of the measure, according to state rules. McLaughlin, who could not immediately be reached for comment Friday, faces an uphill task to actually see his proposal on a statewide ballot. The initiative must gather the number of signatures equal to 5 percent of those who voted in the last election for governor - or about 366,000 valid names.
Posted By PSmooth Here’s another exclusive DJ E Sudd and DJ Tephlon’s It’s Time 4 That Vol. 1: SXSW Edition mixtape. It finds the Migos playing off of former wrestler and current actor The Rock’s signature wrestling move. This one is cool.
The U.K.’s massive Glastonbury Festival is known for hosting the biggest acts, across multiple genres, and this year they’ve managed to land Kanye West as the headliner. To give you an idea, other confirmed acts include the Foo Fighters and Lionel Richie. Kanye headlining the festival apparently doesn’t sit well with some people. More after the jump.
A man by the name of Neil Lonsdale has started a petition, demanding that the fest “Cancel Kanye West’s headline slot and get a rock band.” Neil has admittedly never attended Glastonbury, but had this to say: Kanye West is an insult to music fans all over the world. We spend hundreds of pounds to attend glasto, and by doing so, expect a certain level of entertainment. Kanye has been very outspoken on his views on music….he should listen to his own advice and pass his headline slot on to someone deserving! Lets prevent this musical injustice now! Sounds like a typical hater move, and could just be brushed aside, except the petition has already collected nearly 60,000 signatures. Will be interesting if anything comes of this. We can’t make this up. Channel 7 News in Miami covers the story above. This is some real thorough Grand Theft Auto type shit.
People started to speculate that Future had fallen off last year. This year, he’s silencing all critics. Out of nowhere, Future drops a surprise tape with DJ Esco. Produced entirely by the 808 Mafia. Hit the jump.
With the release of Ludaversal right around the corner (March 31st), Luda gives us one more sample. The Usher assisted Not Long is a different look than the punchline heavy releases we’ve already got from the album. Hit the jump, and pre-order Ludaversal on iTunes.
Action Bronson visits Power 105.1, and dishes on weight loss, the album title, his experimental sound on the new project, and a bunch of other topics.
Or, nothing says "spreading positivity" like two all-"beef" patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, and onions, all on a sesame seed bun.
Anyways, Shaffer is a part of McDonald's #imLovinIt24 campaign, which I assume is Ronald McDonald's latest plan in their never-ending quest to rule the planet under the guise of "spreading positivity." Because yeah, even though I have to worry about the constant structural discrimination and institutionalized racism throughout my society that make things as seemingly innocuous as walking home late at night pretty much a life-or-death situation on any given day, I can somehow take solace in the fact that Mickey D's cares if don't nobody else care. Anyways, featuring Sonna Rele - London based singer-songwriter who is Ne-Yo's new protégé - Listen to the song below. Happy Hump Day, ladies and germs! As Thugger Thugger wraps up his Rodeo Tour with Travi$ Scott this week, and continues to work on his curiously-titled project, Tha Carter 6, a pair of tracks allegedly taken from those sessions have surfaced. Produced by Thug's go-to producer London On Da Track, both "Beat It" with Rich Gang's Jacquees and "Halftime" can be heard below.
With his Def Jam debut, Remember My Name, dropping May 12th, Lil Durk keeps the new music coming. Peep it below.
It's a Tennessee thing, as Memphis' Snootie Wild and Nashville's Starlito connect for "Here I Go" off the CMG rep's Go Mode EP.
Watch the D.Baines-directed clip above. Missing T-Pain perform a FORTY-TWO SONG SET is essentially the only reason I'd be salty at not attending SXSW this year. His upcoming mixtape The Iron Way (which drops this Friday, March 27th) will more than make up for it, though.
Speaking to VIBE while in Austin, TX, he talks the mixtape and how it will boast features from Bun B, Big K.R.I.T., and - surprisingly - Aaliyah. “I actually have Aaliyah on a song,” T-Pain reveals to VIBE. “These are vocals people never heard before. They were actually doing an Aaliyah album a few years ago. They told me do two songs and I could pick one to keep.” The song, "Girlfriends," will undoubtedly be one of the more anticipated songs on The Iron Way, and I personally can't wait for the project to drop. Watch the interview below. After a rather lengthy hiatus, Nardwuar's viral series returns today. After his exploits at SXSW, Nardwuar caught up with Bomani Jones' favorite interviewees in Austin to talk their Mississippi roots, their old jobs, and much more, all the while impressing and freaking out Swae Lee and Slim Jimmy with his trademark uncanny knowledge of the two.
Following Jean Grae last week, Young Tauheed was one of the guest panelists on last night's episode of The Nightly Show With Larry Wilmore alongside fashion magnate Kenneth Cole, the always-delectable Rosie Perez, and comedienne Phoebe Robinson. Speaking on the recent kerfuffle that was Starbucks' #RaceTogether campaign, the four spoke on the ramifications of the poorly thought out marketing campaign, as well as the actual issues with speaking on race relations in America.
During a promo run for Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart's upcoming film, Get Hard, Tip decided to let loose the title of his next album. Sitting down with hhs87, T.I. reveals he'll be capping off his Paperwork trilogy with the final "un-apologetically gangsta" installment, Traps Open.

Tonight, Rico Love takes us to the club with "Strip Club II" which originally appeared on his 2014 EP, Discrete Luxury. Hear it down below.

Out March 31st, the MMG rep's fourth studio release is slated to feature J. Cole, SZA, Usher and Jeremih (peep the tracklist here).
Earlier today, a Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign-assisted, non-album cut also surfaced online called "The Summer League." You might wanna check that out. After serving up Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner last week in the form of three full-length albums, Gucci Mane is back with some Dessert.
