Mac Miller’s new album GO:OD AM will be dropping next month, so to promote it he stopped by The Breakfast Club to chop it up with everybody’s favorite morning show. Check out the interview below.
Curren$y breaks down his Monte Carlo SS at Street Customs in New Orleans.
Curren$y, as you probably noticed from the homepage takeover, is on the cover of our new July/August digital spread. We took a trip down to New Orleans to meet up with the Hot Spitta, not only for an interview and a photo shoot but to find out more about his growing collection of cars. To compliment the digital cover, we had Curren$y break down three of his favorite cars for us. We're starting the roll out, appropriately enough, with his first old school purchase, a '84 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS. Andretti talks about wanting the car since he was a young'n, and then being able to cop it on eBay using show money. Watch the first of three vlogs above, and stay tuned. Check out the full digital cover here. J.Cole sold out Madison Square Garden last night for his Forest Hills Drive’! During his sold out show he brought out Big Sean and YG. So dope!!!
Vixen Amber Rose may not be married to rap star Wiz Khalifa anymore but she made sure to show the world there’s no bad blood toward him this week on social media.
Rose posted up a video clip of her son hitting the stage with Wiz at a concert Tuesday (August 11). Yesterday, we got a first listen of Chinx's posthumous debut album, Welcome To JFK, which offers a bittersweet look at a rising star cut down in his prime. To honor his memory and celebrate the album's release, the members of his team have put together a documentary on his life and legacy, and it's our pleasure to premiere part one of the two-part series today.
Featuring interviews with Chinx's mother and his best friend, Nut, the doc shares stories from the Far Rockaway native's childhood and adolescence, all of which present him as a charismatic, intelligent man. Stay tuned for part two, dropping on HNHH next week. Watch Nelly talk about his new single, Drake/Meek drama, and what’s happening in Ferguson on Ebro In The Morning.
Nelly was out in NYC this week to promote his new DJ Mustard-produced single “The Fix” featuring R&B crooner Jeremih. And just llike every artist does, Nelly made his way by the Hot 97 studios on Tuesday and chopped it up with the gang from the Ebro In The Morning sans Rosenberg unfortunately. Sitting down for a lengthy 32-minute chat, Nelly spoke about his new music, BET Uncut coming back, strip club culture, Drake/Meek ghostwriting scandal, and a whole lot more. He even touched on some more socially-conscious topics like what’s happening in Ferguson and being active in the community as well. Check out all that and a bunch more in this interview above.
Even though Bang 3 just dropped and Part 2 is still on the way, new music from Chief Keef continues to find its way onto the internet. A couple weeks ago we saw Sosa link up with fellow Chicagoan Lil Durk for the track “Sumo” and now the two are back at it today with another one called “Young & Reckless.”
Produced again by Chopsquad DJ, the track will hopefully see life on the duo’s long awaited rumored project GLOTF, which is finally looking at becoming a reality now. Take a listen to the new street cut and let us know what you think! In other news, Part 2 in Chief Keef’s Bang 3 album is scheduled to arrive August 18 on iTunes. So stay tuned, more from Sosa is on the way. Meek Mill pulled his Drake diss record off his Soundcloud account last night.
The Meek Mill/Drake beef had the internet on fire for a minute, but it's mostly died down now, apart from a few subliminals (from either side)here and there. Nonetheless, it was exciting while it was lasted. The general consensus is that Drake won and Meek lost. We thought were hoping to hear another diss track from Meek, given how lacklustre "Wanna Know" was, and Meek even seemed to hint that there was more to come when he dropped a freestyle at a recent concert, but alas, nothing. Now, even more nothing: Meek has decided to seemingly withdraw his diss, removing it from his Soundcloud account last night. Drizzy's, which is becoming the song of the (end) of summer, is still alive and well (keeping the #1 on our Top 100 for some time too). Does this move mean Meek is conceding? Does he have something better on the way? What's your theory?
It's been five years since the last installment of 2 Chainz' Trapavelliproject. But on August 13th 2 Chainz will release Trapavelli Tre. Loaded with a plethora of guest features, such as this bass-heavy latest offering with The-Dream. Listen below.
The DopeHouse will always be here for something from Big Krizzle, any day of the week. He recently offered up this track for SupaHotBeats - the duo of Will Power and Myke Stallone - and their recent mixtape, Free Game. While I'm unsure on the newness of the song, because of its OutKast-flavored sound and smooth verses from K.R.I.T. that does not bother me in the slightest.
Curren$y lets loose a new 7-track mixtape that he recorded just last night called Cathedral which is entirely produced by Chase N Cashe. Stream and download the dope new tunes below.
Download: Curren$y – Cathedral
Curren$y and Chase N Cashe have teamed up for a new project they call Cathedral, where Spitta handles the raps and Chase N Cashe handles the production. They apparently recorded the entire thing last night, and will be dropping it in full later today. In the meantime, here’s a taste of what you can expect.
Rae Sremmurd has one of the best albums of the year in Sremmlife which is nothing but certified hits and bangers from start to finish. Mike Will took to Twitter today to announce that the duo are indeed working on part 2, and we can’t wait to hear what they’ve got cooked up for the second time around. Rumored features so far are Drake and Wiz Khalifa.
The Weeknd will be releasing his new album, Beauty Behind The Madness, on August 28th. It’s safe to say that this is one of the most anticipated albums of 2015, and today the R&B singer has officially unleashed the tracklist for all to see. Check it out below.
Ace Hood is ready to get back in album mode again as he drops his new single “I Know How It Feel” featuring Ty Dolla $ign. Ben Billions handles the production.
Migos claim that their sophomore album is finished.
When Migos released their debut album, Yung Rich Nation, a few weeks ago, they did so without Offset, who still remains behind bars after being arrested in April. Quavo and Takeoff said that he was present for 85% of the recording sessions, and listening to the album, it's clear that he's rarely absent from the tracks. What's shocking, though, is that Quavo is now claiming that the trio already have another album complete. In an interview with DJ Whoo Kid, Quavo and Takeoff claim that they have “another album that’s sitting back already. It’s all about timing.” They wouldn't share too many more details, but also discussed a track that they have with Lil Wayne in the vaults called "Fantastic," and said they'd love to collaborate with Nas.
If there's one thing you need to know about Young Dro, it's that he's amped up 100 percent of the time. If he was weed, he'd be Dro (get it?). If he was a car, he'd be a Hellcat (2015 Dodge Challenger). And with that state of mind, the Polo aficionado teams up with Zaytoven for his new EP, Hellcat. Press play and speed off with seven new tracks from ZayDro.
