Skateboarding legend Tony Hawk is without a doubt an authority on the sport, so TMZ caught up with Hawk recently to ask him which rappers he thinks are the most talented on the board. The 45-year-old California native shared his thoughts on two performers in particular.
“Honestly, the best skater that I’ve seen who raps is Tyler, The Creator,” said Hawk. “He really can skate. He’s legit.” When asked specifically about Lil Wayne’s skills as a skater, Hawk does not give a similarly strong endorsement for the Young Money boss. “I don’t think he picked it up as early. Let’s just put it that way,” states Hawk. Watch Tony Hawk discuss Tyler, The Creator and Lil Wayne in the video below. With the B.o.B and Yo Gotti-assisted "Numb" and "Make It Home" with Jeezy still getting spins, August Alsina liberates the official cover art to his upcoming album,Testimony. Check it out up top and get ready for the LP on April 15th.
