West Coast rapper Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, 2 Chainz and more made their presence known over the weekend by dominating a taped version of next month's BET Hip Hop Awards 2013. Hosted by Snoop, Dogg took on various duties throughout the evening which included joke-telling and appearing in various skits. Once inside, things kicked off fairly quickly; The lights dimmed and the screens flashed as video came up of James Lipton, host of "Inside the Actors Studio," earnestly asking Snoop Dogg, "With so much drama in the LBC, how hard is it being Snoop D. O. Double G.?" An unexpected sight, complete with profanity and those hilarious facial expressions Lipton is known for, the awards started off on a good note. Then came Snoop's monologue. The Long Beach native is witty in his own weed smoke-induced way and those familiar with his interviews and the like, know this. Why have Snoop Dogg onstage stiffly telling written jokes? The skits that they incorporated into the show portrayed Snoop at his best: Snoop at a card table withDaz, Snoop as a DJ, Snoop as a commentator with Kevin Hart's hilarious alter-ego Chocolate Drop, who as always, had the crowd in tears. (Billboard)Much like past years, the entire evening was highlighted by handfulsof notable performances. Since becoming a power circle in 2011, Maybach Music Group have been one of the prominent, growing cliques in Rap music. And according to a recent discussion with Rick Ross at the 2013 BET Hip-Hop Awards, his collective will be expanding yet again very soon. Mastermind is clearly more than an album title, as the forward thinking Miami rapper said, "We gon' make a few announcements real soon," with a confident tone. Without revealing specifics nor a timetable for that matter, Ross simply explained, "When we do it, we gon' do it right." MMG's past acquisitions include now relevant wordsmiths in their own right like Meek Mill, others that were previously established like Wale and Stalley, and even newcomers like Rockie Fresh. The only question now is which road Ricky Rozay will take with his latest signings. Will he opt to pair his brand with a veteran? Will he finally add a female to the MMG fold? We'll have to wait to see what happens, but you can hear Rick Ross speak below. Mastermind is set to release some time in this calendar year. In the capital city of Baghdad in Iraq, a series of car explosions alleged to be part of a coordinated attack killed a total of 54 people while injuring over 100 others on Monday (Sept. 30). Although no group has taken credit for the bombings, tensions between Sunni Muslim militants and Shiites have been growing. Several outlets reported on the situation in Iraq, as the country is witnessing a rise of insurgency from the militants that has left thousands dead this year alone. The conflict within the country has been intensified by the fighting in nearby Syria, where Sunni fighters have been looking to take down a leader backed by Shiite Iran. A report from Reuters says that 14 car bombs were detonated overall, killing just a handful of soldiers and dozens of civilians. The bombings come just a day after Sunni insurgents went on a rampage across the country, killing 55 and wounding 135 others reports Xinhua News. According to the UN Assistance Mission for Iraq, over 5,000 civilians have been killed with over 12,000 injured between January and August of this year. The website Iraq Body Count puts the death toll of civilians at over 6,000, with a staggering 1,151 killed in September. Iraq's Interior Ministry has placed the death toll at eight, with many reporters saying Iraqi authorities routinely underreports causalities due to sectarian violence. BREAKING** MILEY CYRUS ANNOUNCES PREGNANCY BY RAPPER JUICY J ON STAGE AT BET HIP HOP AWARDS…9/30/2013 “I assure you she’s been doing a lot more than twerking” said Juicy J before Miley Cyrus blurted out that her and the “Bandz a Make Her Dance” rapper were expecting. This weekend BET held their annual Hip Hop Awards in Atlanta, Ga where the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Ti and Drake were to appear, but the talk of the show was stolen by Miley and the response from her Father who she brought as a guest. “She really broke my achy breaky heart” said Billy Ray Cyrus at first jokingly about the hit song he’s known for but then going on to say they’re are three things he thought would never be a part of his life; rap music, twerking and a black baby. The crowd at first taking her announcement as a joke cried with laughter but after Miley screaming “No, I’m really pregnant” she was met by a round of applause from the packed crowd. Miami Heat's LeBron James is going to have a different experience if he manages to make it to the NBA Finals for a fourth consecutive time next summer as reports claim the league is considering switching up its format. According to reports, the NBA is on the verge of making significant changes to home court advantage in the championship series. For the first time in over 3 decades, the NBA could be returning back to the historical 2-2-1-1-1 format. Earlier today, the NBA's Competition Committee voted unanimously in favor of a major change to the modern day NBA Finals schedule of the 2-3-2 format. The new system could be implemented as early as next year's NBA Finals for 2014, pending an owners vote to finalize the decision in the coming days. Since 1985, the NBA adopted the 2-3-2 format due to cross-country travels every year between the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics; causing strain on players, media and fans going to every game. Now that the NBA uses charter planes from Private Jet Services in comparison to flying commercial, the once impossible and strenuous schedule now seems possible. This new format will now even out the playing field, giving the lower seeded opponents in the Finals a better shot of pulling an upset against a favorite. (Complex) This video speaks for itself in that McDonald’s chicken mcnuggets seem to contain some strange ingredients and substances that currently have no explanation. Health Ranger Mike Adams purchased a 10-piece chicken mcnugget meal from a McDonald’s restaurant and decided to examine them under carefully controlled conditions using a high-powered digital microscope. What he found was quite interesting as you will note in the video below. Through his investigations, not only did he find weird fiber like objects, but there were a number of odd colors including a blue egg shaped object that resembled an antifreeze like glob. What are these strange ingredients? We do not know. We also do not know if they are safe or unsafe to consume as not much is known about them. However, these mysterious ingredients are another great reason why we should avoid processed foods and stick with fresh, clean foods. Share this with friends and family who might still be eating McDonald’s food. Jerusalem (CNN) -- Israel has arrested an Iranian-born man, accusing him of spying for Tehran. Netanyahu has been outspokenly wary of Iran's apparent efforts to improve relations with the West. "I will tell the truth in the face of the sweet talk and the onslaught of smiles," he said Saturday, in the wake of last week's speech at the U.N. by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani. According to a news release Sunday from the Israeli government, Ali Mansouri, a native of Iran who has also lived in Belgium, was arrested September 11 at Ben Gurion Airport as he was leaving Israel. He was traveling under the name Alex Mans, the statement said.
