Get More: Music News MTV recently caught up with Drake to ask him about his friendship with his Young Money label-mate Nicki Minaj and the story behind him rapping “Not even talkin’ to Nicki, communication is breakin’; I dropped the ball on some personal shit, I need to embrace it” on the intro song off his latest album, Nothing Was The Same.
Even though he wouldn’t share the reason, Drizzy explained that around 8 months ago him and the Barbie were not on speaking terms. He also says that he has fixed their friendship and they are back talking to each other again. “That line in ‘Tuscan Leather’ isn’t exactly where I am in my life right now but like a year ago… eight months, seven months ago, it was how I felt. I’d done something wrong and I wasn’t speaking to her.” “I’m honest. I make mistakes. I’d be the second to admit it. Think that’s why I need her in my life, to check me when I’m trippin’.” “I think the dialogue actually between us was already opened up. I had already solved that issue. I wrote that a while ago and I kinda felt guilty changing it. It was a sentiment that I had when I started this album and felt like that’s how it should be. The album should start one place and end in another.” “I haven’t talked to her since it’s been out. I’m not sure. I haven’t spoke to her.”

Rocko suggests that you pray for Gucci Mane. The "U.O.E.N.O" rapper detailed rolling up to Guwop's home to ask him about the slander he sent his way via Twitter. Streetz 94.5 in Atlanta got Rocko on the phone to detail what happened. "I felt like me and homie was like...that was my ace," revealed Rocko. "When all that took place, I was in awe. I'm like Whoa...I'm like, Nah, that ain't my homie. So I pulled up, we had a conversation. Homie, he going through some things. So I just ask everybody to pay for homie. Hopefully he be better... I ain't holding no grudge." We gotta salute Rocko for keeping the peace. Gucci Mane recently took to Twitter to apologize for his rant (and admit to an addiction to "lean"), but the veracity of these tweets has been called into question. Listen to Rocko's side of the story below. A Louisiana pastor was fatally shot as he preached to a crowd of more than 60 during a revival service and a suspect has been arrested, law enforcement officials said Saturday. The shooting at about 8:20 p.m. Friday was at Tabernacle of Praise Worship Center in Lake Charles, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Kim Myers said Saturday. Sixty-five people were inside at the time, including the victim's wife, said Chief Deputy Stitch Guillory. Deputies have no information on a motive or on whether the preacher and suspect knew each other, Myers said. Myers said Pastor Ronald J. Harris, Sr. was shot twice by the gunman. The gunman walked into the church while Harris was preaching and shot him, then hit him again when Harris fell to the floor. Cypher 1 – Wax, Rapsody, Emis Killa, Rittz, Jon Connor

Black Metaphor) After a successful summer partnership with Jay Z and his Magna Carta Holy Grail album release, Samsung may have some competition on its hands as reports claim Apple has added a heavyweight tech-savvy guru to its team. According to reports, former Nike design director Ben Shaffer is now down with Team Apple. A move that's perhaps the most obvious step toward the possible introduction of the long-rumored iWatch, Apple has reportedly hired former Nike design director Ben Shaffer. While at Nike, Shaffer served as the Studio Director for the Swoosh's storied Innovation Kitchen, which was most recently responsible for the development of Flyknit and, previously, the FuelBand - expertise that will obviously come in handy for any so-called "wearable technology" from Apple. This marks just the latest in the development of the iWatch as Apple hired renowned fitness expert - and longtime Nike consultant - Jay Blahnik, who was instrumental in the development of the FuelBand, just last month. (Hype Beast) Miami's DJ Khaled is going to raise eyebrows when his upcoming Suffering From Successcompilation album finally hits store shelves by including a guest spot for President Barack Obama. While Khaled kept the details to a minimum, he did promise the head of state would appear on his LP. DJ Khaled doesn't just shout "We The Best" on your favorite rap tracks for nothing. In his NiteCap interview with Peter Bailey, the music mogul says he has President Barack Obama on his album, which can be considered a win in our books. Rewind to April 2013 when the country's Head-of-State walked out at the White House Correspondents dinner to the tune of Khaled's street banger "All I Do Is Win." That epic moment opened up the gates for a collaboration on wax. "Obama is on my album," Khaled says. "What you want me to do? I'm not lying. You'll see." (VIBE) |
