Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne and Christina Milian are giving gossip sites are run for the money after hooking up following recent dating denials. #morerumors
Despite killing the romance rumors, the Young Money artists were caught dining in California last night (July 27). After attending the ESPYS earlier this month, the Young Money labelmates were spotted leaving dinner at Mastro's Steakhouse in Beverly Hills on Sunday night. Milian exited first, while Weezy looked surprise to see the paparazzi waiting outside. While the photos may suggest otherwise, TMZ claims that the two are not dating and that it's all part of Wayne's plan to build buzz for Milian's music. When asked if she was dating her YMCMB boss, the newly single Milian said, "We make music together," but didn't deny the rumors. (Rap-Up)While speculation intensified over the past few days, Christina flatly denied the online chatter. Christina Milian made one thing clear Saturday in Glendale ... she's NOT doing the horizontal cabbage patch with Lil Wayne. The 32-year old singer sauntered into Chris Brown's celebrity kickball game in a killer set of shorts ... and had no problem talking to us about her platonic relationship with Weezy. Christina wouldn't rule out a relationship with Wayne -- when we asked if she'd date a producer or manager she happened to be working with ... Milian had a very calculated reaction. (TMZ)Despite appearing as an item at the ESPN "ESPY's" awards show, updated reports claimed they were not dating. Lil Wayne and Christina Milian are NOT dating ... despite the hot hands at the ESPYs ... it's all part of Wayne's clever ploy to make $$$. Milian recently signed with Young Money Entertainment and Wayne is planning on rolling out her music big time. Our sources say Wayne had the idea to take Christina to the ESPYs to drum up press ... and that's the beginning and end of the story. (TMZ)Photos of Weezy F. Baby rubbing elbows with Milian during the televised broadcast heated up the Internet last week. While Drake ran the show (July 16), cameras also zeroed in on Lil' Wayne and his PYT, Christina Milian, setting off rumors that the two were an official item. The 32-year-old songstress also happens to be signed to his label. The speculation come after Milian split with then-fiance, Rap-A-Lot Records CEO Jas Prince last month. (Jas and Wayne are also said to be currently at odds.) (VIBE) Young Money's Drake is getting ready to invade the nation and boasted about the upcoming "Drake Vs. Lil Wayne" tour this week. #gethyped
Drizzy teased potential concert attendees about the tour rehearsals Monday (July 28). "First day of Drake vs. Lil Wayne rehearsals were INCREDIBLE. Can't wait for the people to see it.," Drake tweeted July 28. (Drake's Twitter)The music duo's tour trailer premiered online last Tuesday (July 22) afternoon. The Drake Vs. Lil Wayne tour is set to kick off next month, and today they release an official trailer for the event. The 37 second trailer teases the "Street Fighter" theme of the tour, and hints that Drake and Wayne will be facing off in an all-out battle on the stage. The tour is set to get underway in August after Drizzy's "OVO Fest" and will run through the end of September. (Complex)Recently, Weezy F. Baby said the onstage antics would live up to the tour name. Lil Wayne told MTV News that his manager Cortez Bryantactually came up with the idea for Drake vs. Lil Wayne, and he definitely plans to have some fun with it. "Since, thank god we've been so successful, [we'll just be] going back and forth with our hits and getting the crowd to go crazy, then just finally hit the stage together," Weezy told MTV News on his "Krazy" video set. "It's a battle type thing." And who does Wayne think is favored to win this battle? "I give the good guy the edge," he joked. (MTV)Buzz behind the nationwide run turned into public knowledge on June 12. Today, Drake and Lil Wayne announced their joint tour "Drake vs. Lil Wayne," which will visit 31 cities in the U.S. and kicks off on August 8th in Darien, New York. This is first time that the two YMCB labelmates will top a bill together. (Entertainment Weekly)#gethyped Maybach Music Group leader Rick Ross has the Internet chattering after sharing a photo of himself talking it up with renowned NFL owner Robert Kraft. #bawsetalk Ricky Rozay teased his Twitter followers with the unexpected captured moment with the New England Patriots owner. "Me and Robert Kraft negotiating me a 1 yr deal #MaxContract | @wingstop @belairerose @mCigs," Ross tweeted July 26. (Rick Ross' Twitter)Miami model Paige Imani posted up steamy photos of the "Bawse" tonguing her down onto Instagram earlier this month. This week, Rozay made a guest appearance on model Paige Imani's Instagram, with a little more tongue than we're used to seeing from the larger-than-life rapper. "I guess he likes me or something like that," Paige wrote in the caption to one pic. (MTV)The Miami native has reportedly shed 100 pounds over the past year. The hip-hop star has been losing weight gradually since last year and has dropped an estimated 100 pounds at least, according to reports. Ross, who has continuously touted Reebok's CrossFit program when asked about his slimmer figure, and his rep have not confirmed an actual number. Fans started to notice Ross' weight loss last fall (pictured above, left, Ross performs in Miami on Nov. 23, 2013). He appeared slimmer than ever at Hot 107.9 FM's Birthday Bash 19 in Atlanta on June 14 (pictured above, right). (E! Online)A few weeks ago, Ross said he had relied on a personal trainer and a gym routine to lose weight. "I ain't really keeping up with the amount of weight," Ross said when asked how much weight he has lost. "I just wanted to get into better shape, put myself in a better position. I still eat the way I want to eat. I just go to the gym now. I do this sh*t called CrossFit. I call it RossFit. It's called RossFit now. If y'all see this, hashtag RossFit. ... Reebok had introduced me to a trainer and what he turned me onto was, let's say for instance, if you're on a treadmill and you did that sh*t for 30 minutes, you burning calories but you could be doing something that's burning calories and building muscles at the same time." ("Tim Westwood TV")#bawsetalk Months after music couple Jay Z and Beyoncé made headlines for skipping out on Kanye West's publicized wedding ceremony, new reports claim their absence was strategically planned out. #whereishov Reports claim Jay and Bey did not want to associate themselves to the KimYe event. And it can be hard to stay in touch -- Beyoncé and Jay Z both change their cellphone numbers every two weeks. Even other celebrities aren't immune to quality control. It's not whom they hang out with, says the source -- "it's who hangs out with them." According to the source, they shunned Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's wedding because it was too low-rent for the Jay Z/Beyoncé brand. "They are guarding like hell their status," the source says. "Beyoncé wasn't going to allow a Kardashian to socially climb her. And Jay didn't want Kanye with Kim -- he thinks it's bad for business. I think Jay lost a little respect for Kanye there." (Page Six)Kanye made headlines last month for allegedly holding a grudgetoward Jay for his no-show. Kanye has been showing his anger toward Jay Z ditching his wedding for awhile now. At Kanye's X Games performance on June 7, the rapper first ignited the hip hop feud. Kanye completely dropped Jay Z's name from his performance! Jay Z, Kanye is trying to tell you something. He is STILL mad you didn't attend his wedding. The two rappers are bros and we're sure they'll work things out sooner or later. However, Kanye is not one to let go of a grudge easily. (Hollywood Life)While she did not give a definite answer, Kanye's mother-in-lawKris Jenner said recently addressed Jay Z's wedding no-show. During an interview with Australia radio station KIIS 106.5 FM on Tuesday, the E! reality star shared that Kimye's wedding weekend was unaffected by the power couple's absence. "There was so much commotion and excitement, I never really gave that a second thought," Kim's mother explained. "If you had been there, you would have thought that was the last thing on anyone's mind." She added, "[I] just assumed they were working." (E! Online)Jay and Bey kicked back in the Hamptons while the press covered KimYe's publicized wedding in May. He was expected to be best man, so some people were shocked when Jay Z and Beyoncé skipped Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's wedding. Instead of heading to Florence, Italy for the nuptials, the couple enjoyed a quiet weekend together in The Hamptons. The two stars were seen arriving back in New York City on Monday and hopping off a helicopter. (Daily Mail UK)#whereishov R&B singer Chris Brown might want to invest into a bulletproof vest as new reports claim his current California neighbor isn't afraid to shoot first and ask questions later. Details of Chris Breezy's less-than-friendly San Fernando Valley neighbor's gun-totting ways have surfaced online. Real estate sources tell TMZ ... Chris is renting an 8,000 square foot, 6 bedroom house in Agoura ... it's near the Malibu boarder but technically part of the Valley. Now the problem. We spoke with one of his neighbors, who said flatly, "It can be the devil. I can care less. I don't care if they're having orgies. It can even be Saddam Hussein for all I care, as long as he doesn't trespass onto my property. If he does, I shoot him." (TMZ)Recent reports claimed one-time rival Drake would appear on Chris' upcoming solo album. They're now in the studio ... laying tracks down for Chris' new album. We're told Drake will perform with Chris on some of the songs and he'll also be the producer. Two other reasons Chris and Drake think working together will sell more albums: -- People will pick the lyrics apart, trying to figure out if they are talking aboutRihanna ... the woman who they both slept with and the catalyst for the W.i.P. brawl. -- Everyone wants to hear who sounds better -- Chris or Drake. (TMZ)A new photo of Drizzy and Breezy in a recording studio surfaced online earlier this month. A Drake stan Instagram page posted a photo of the OVO/YMCMB rapper and his former bottle-brawlin' nemesis, Chris Brown, in the studio together early this morning. In the photo, it appears that Chris is singing while Drake holds a double-cup and listens intently. No word on whether or not the two frenemies worked on any music together or if this was just a bonding session to build some good vibrations. (Bossip)Last October, a photo of Drizzy and Brown hanging out in a studiohit the 'net. "Hanging with Drake in the studio," the 24-year-old pop star posted early Thursday, seemingly hinting at a collaboration between the "Started From The Bottom" rapper and the "Run It" singer. (E! Online) Mega producer Timbaland recently offered his take on today's rap scene and explained why a handful of artists like Young Money's Drake might be hip-hop's saviors. In Timbo's perspective, Drizzy, Rick Ross, Kendrick Lamar andNicki Minaj are hip-hop's biggest stars. "The younger generation, we haven't seen a star being born yet. We've seen Drake. Drake might have been the last star that we've seen, but we haven't seen a superstar yet, like super, super-star. Drake was the last of them that I thought that we might have seen. Drake and [Rick] Ross. I would say Kendrick [Lamar] too. Those might be the last three. [Nicki Minaj?] That might be the only one. But we haven't seen nobody else." (Rolling Stone)Recently, rap star Kanye West called Drake one of the top contenders dominating the entertainment industry. "Currently that spot is taken. Let's be honest--he got last summer. Yeah. He got last summer. And I'd never given it up till last summer." [Now he's thinking about taking it back.] "It's a real question for me. Do I want to?" (GQ)Last week, rap veteran Common boasted about Kendrick Lamar's talent and his star-studded Top Dawg Entertainment clique. "I can appreciate the aspects of the quality hip-hop and the freedom that I get out of artists, whether it's Ab-Soul or Kendrick Lamar," he said. "Their whole team does unique things." So can we expect a collaboration between him and the Compton MC? "Man, I would love to do a record with Kendrick," said Common. "That album [good kid, m.A.A.d city] to me is like one of the most complete albums we've heard in hip-hop in a long time. It was the album that set a milestone [...] from the new era of rap artists." (Rap-Up)Common also spoke up on how much Nicki Minaj had grown over the past few years. "I love that ['Chiraq'] joint. I was rockin' it as soon as I heard it," he said. "I think Nicki Minaj is a dope MC. She can really rhyme to me. From what she did on 'Monster' to now, she still is snappin'. When you hear her rap, you're like, damn, this woman is cold. I mess with Nicki Minaj." (Rap-Up) Wiz Khalifa surprises fans by bringing out Drake during his Toronto tour stop.Wiz Khalifa's annual "Under The Influence" tour has officially kicked off, and for the Toronto stop at the Molson Ampitheatre, Wiz had a big surprise up his sleeve. The rapper brought out Toronto's hometown star Drizzy Drake to perform "Started From The Bottom", which you'll recall Wiz Khalifa remixed when it initially dropped. Drake also performed "Trophies" for the turnt up crowd.
Right now we just have some Instagram footage from the live show, courtesy of the Drake-tracker WordOnTheRoad. Peep the short clip above. Did anyone get to see it happen live? Jay Z and Beyonce are set to earn $4 million each per show on the "On The Run" tour.Rumors about a divorce continue to fly around Beyonce and Jay Z, and with that comes reports from NYPost's Page Six that Bey was shopping for a $21.5 million apartment in Chelsea without Jay. Although we cannot say if it is true for certain, if it is, that amount is nothing compared to how much the couple are raking in with their summer "On The Run" tour.
Once again we have the NYPost to thank for digging up these numbers, but according to the gossip page, Hov and Bey are set to make $84 million by the end of the tour in September. To break it down a bit further, the couple are making $4 million each per show, while some stops are expected to make $5 million in sales. This isn't too surprising, as we already learned that the tour will likely become the second most successful tour of all time. Beyonce targeted all these rumors in a new Instagram post of Jay Z holding Blue Ivy, which she captioned "my favorite hue is Jay Z Blue." We'll keep you updated on the Jay Z/Beyonce drama/gossip. Kanye West is currently working to complete his 7th studio album, and according to reports the G.O.O.D. Music boss is looking to follow in the footsteps of his “little sister” Beyoncé. The Sun cites a source claiming Ye will drop the follow-up to Yeezus without any promotion similar to how Bey released her 2013 self-titled LP.
“Kanye has been working hard on the album for a lot of this year, but he’s known for cutting deadlines so it’s better if he can just put it out at the last minute,” said the source. There were reports earlier this year that Kanye was “annoyed” and “feeling defeated” that Beyoncé’s “visual album” was so successful, because he had the idea of releasing videos and songs all at once first. “He wanted to do a visual album for his ‘Dark Twisted Fantasies’ album, but everyone around him convinced him it wouldn’t work,” an insider told Radar Online. “That’s why he ended up doing one long movie to go with it [the 35-minute short film, 'Runaway'].” The connection between Kanye’s upcoming album and the Knowles-Carter family extends beyond the possibility of an overnight release. West recently told GQ he has bars on the project that he felt could have been spit by Beyoncé’s husband Jay Z. Curren$y is set to return to his Pilot Talkalbum series this year. The third edition will also feature the return of Spitta working with fellow New Orleans native Lil Wayne. Curren$y recently spoke with I Got It 4 Free, and he revealed Ab-Soul, Action Bronson, French Montana, Wiz Khalifa, Raheem Devaughn, and Big Sean will appear on PT3. He went on to add his former Young Money boss Weezy’s name could be in the project’s credits more than once. “Me and the homie work all the time. I got two or three in the clip right now that haven’t been released that we did, so maybe,” said Spitta about the likelihood Wayne will be featured on the project. “I got Baby on the ’10 Gs’ remix. I’m gonna put that out in a second too.” At the moment, fans can expect for Pilot Talk 3 to hit stores this November. Curren$y already has 17 tracks mixed and a total of 30 recorded. He is looking to cut the tracklist down to 13-15 songs. Listen to Curren$y’s interview below. It appears all the talk about Cristiano Ronaldo signing with Lil Wayne’s forthcoming sports management firm may have been just that – talk. The soccer star took to Twitter to set the record straight that he was not changing his management. TMZ was the first media site to report Ronaldo’s American management would be handled by Wayne’s company. The site is still reporting Weezy’s Young Money will be in business with the Real Madrid forward. A recent post on TMZ Sports reads: Ronaldo tweeted that there will be NO changes to his current management team — which we’re told is partially true … no one is getting fired. He’s just adding Young Money to handle branding, marketing and other sports management issues in the United States. Aretha Franklin is a legendary soul singer for over 50 years, but that does not necessarily mean everyone knows that. Franklin released a statement recently deriding Johnny Rockets for an employees denial of seating Franklin due to a technicality. Last Tuesday (July 22nd), Aretha Franklin performed a sold out show at Artpark Outdoor Amphitheater inSt, Lewiston, NY as apart of First Niagara Bank’s Tuesdays In The Park. According to Franklin’s statement, the singer dined at Johnny Rockets in Niagara Falls, Ont.following the show and was informed by a female employee “you can’t sit here because you ordered for takeout.” Franklin did not take kindly to the treatment: The woman was very rude, unprofessional and nasty – certainly not the appropriate face for Johnny Rockets. No one should be addressed this way, whether a celebrity or not. I told her she can eat and pay for my meal, and left. A spokeswoman for Johnny Rockets issued an apology for the new and very young employee” in addition to instructing the employee on the takeout policy. While Franklin’s agent David Brokaw states the singer wishes the apology was delivered to Franklin personally, her statement does not rule out Franklin visiting the establishment in the future: This experience in Niagara Falls will not stop my enjoyment of burgers and cherry Cokes, and talking to the classy and friendly people at Johnny Rockets. YG Explains Why Hip Hop Belongs To The West, How His Friends Almost Killed Him + MORE (VIDEO)7/30/2014 From making a song named “My N*gga” a #1 hit to an impressive My Krazy Life debut album, YG has proven to live an unconventional life. During a recent interview, the West Coast MC explains how his and other MC’s success YG’s My Krazy Life is littered with vivid tales of him breaking into people’s homes, witnessing murder and the types of stories that would inspire a Boyz In The Hood sequel. According to YG in his interview with Montreality, his wild past got so intertangled that he once died at the hands of his friends over a misunderstanding: Homie start shooting, because something happened. Then they start popping back. So I hop in the homie’s ear, I’m right on the side of him, I’m like ‘shoot n*gga.’ I’m like ‘pop that n*gga.’ He start popping again. I’m like ‘keep shooting’, he keep shooting. Come to find out, we walk back in the house, the cars drive off, but the homies called us like ‘y’all n*ggas is shooting at us.’ YG also claims his debut album is a “classic album that nobody expected.” With his sudden rise to fame and other west coast MC’s such as Nipsey Hussle and Kendrick Lamar showing commercial and independent success, YG feels inclined to believe that the center of Hip Hop these days is on the left coast: [Nipsey Hussle] put out a mixtape for free or you can buy it for $100. He made a motherfu*ken statement. N*ggas on the West Coast are making statements. I came out with a classic album that nobody expected. Kendrick [Lamar] came out, his sh*t went platinum. [DJ] Mustard is producer of the motherfu*cken..for years. You got n*gas like Dom Kennedy on his independent grind, getting this money. West Coast, we got it. Check out YG’s full interview below: Since the launch of Roc Nation Sports, Jay Z has been doing more than making the Yankee hat more famous. Earlier today (July 28th), New York Yankees pitcher, CC Sabathia had his first radio interview and discussed signing to Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports, Derek Jeter retiring and more. On January 17th, 2014, CC Sabthia became the first pitcher signed to Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports and, at the time, the second Yankee player joining his former teammate Robinson Cano. According to Sabathia, even Jay Z’s current On The Run tour does not deter him from assuming his responsibilities as Roc Nation Sports founder: He’s on tour doing his thing, but he always gives us support and whatever we need. So, it’s great being a part of that family. I’m glad I signed with Roc Nation. On July 18th, CC Sabathia was deemed out for the rest of the season due to him undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery today which will take 6-8 weeks of recovery. Sabathia spoke on being physically unable to perform during Derek Jeter’s final season: Me and Jeter have been close ever since I got here. Honestly, in the recruiting process of me coming here he was big into that. So, it’s tough not being there and just not hanging out. This will be the last time we ever get to hangout like that. I’m saying, during the season you’re with guys every day, you know, 6-8 months. Check out CC Sabathia’s full interview with Angie Martinez on Power 105 below: Greatest of all time talk usually falls on deaf ears unless the person who is speaking has a reputation that precedes them. During a recent interview, the 15+ year veteran producer Timbaland explained how his upcoming album could be his last, his “Purple Rain”and evidence that he is “the greatest who ever did it.” While there is no release date for his fourth solo album entitled Opera Noir, Timbaland explains to Rolling Stone that it will be his “grand finale” and “my Purple Rain”. After stating that there will be no features on this album, Timbaland explained why this album will prove he’s “the greatest who ever did it”: Yeah, this is my Purple Rain solo album that I’m going to put out. I have no features on it. It’s called Opera Noir and it’s the most innovative work I’ve ever done. It’s all about truth and what’s going on around us. It’s about my personal truth: It’s one of the things that MediaTakeOut will care about, but I’m telling you what happened. I’m telling you: At this point, this happened. I’m telling you at this date, I’m telling you that I did this. I’m telling you that she did this or he did that. Timbaland’s last solo project, 2009’s Shock Value II featured 22 different artists and sold under 38,000 copies in its opening week. Check out the full interview here. Either the Illuminati have one of thoseMen In Black mind erasers or Jeezy is out of the loop. During a recent interview, Jeezy addressed rumors of his affiliation with the Illuminati following his Seen It All album cover, problems with Def Jam and more. Back in November 2013, Jeezy sent a message to his personal Twitter account threatening to leak his new album if “Def Jam don’t get it right.” On his song “Me Ok”, Jeezy, whom is also the Senior V&P at Atlantic Records, rapped “might just drop my next album on Atlantic. Before stating that his album “was getting released even without a release date” in his interview with Power 99’s Mina SayWhat, Jeezy explains why he publicly voiced his displeasure with Def Jam: At the time, I felt like they weren’t seeing my vision. It’s jus tlike a girl. Def Jam is a great building, a lot of things changed, but I became frustrated with the situation. But, I’m a businessman so I had to put that out there. But, it’s like my girl, ‘you keep playing I’m going to get me another chick. Jeezy’s cover art for Seen It All contains a shield surrounding the eye in the pyramid that is commonly seen on the back of the dollar bill. Jeezy immediately dismisses Illuminati references: Do not get art and creativity confused with ignorance. I am a hard working, God fearing man. I have no idea what an Illuminati is. Really [I] dont give a damn because it has nothing to do with me.
