Amazon may one day will be able to fly your package to you in 30 minutes with a flying drone…unless it’s Beyonce’s new album Beyonce. Due to Beyonce’s unorthodox album release, Amazon has joined Target as retailers refusing to release the CD of Beyonce.
Apple iTunes was the exclusive distributor of Beyonce for the first week of its release, a move that kept Target from selling the CD as they “are primarily focused on offering CDs that will be available in a physical format at the same time as all other formats,” according to an official statement. Amazon has not released a statement on their refusal to sell Beyonce’s CD other than through third party retailers. Industry insiders speculate that Beyonce’s surprise release is the reason for Amazon’s decision. Reportedly, Sony Music Entertainment denied Amazon pre-order rights to the new album due to its surprise release. The Beyonce album is being featured in the “New Releases” section of Amazon’s Music department, however a few fan reviews on the site complain about not receiving the 17 videos that came with the iTunes-exclusive of Beyonce. Not one to take opposition lightly, Beyonce surprisingly appeared at a Walmart in Tewksbury, Massachusetts last night (December 20th) and gave away $50 gift cards to all the shoppers. T-Pain, one of the originators in the reinsertion of Auto Tune into mainstream Hip Hop and R&B has publicly taken issue with Future’s use of Auto Tune and finally revealed where his gripe with him started. During an interview with VladTV, T-Pain says last year he invited Future’s brother, Rocko to the VIP section of his turkey drive at Pin Ups strip club in Decatur, Georgia. After praising Rocko’s brother, Pain says he inquired about a potential collaboration when he was met with a disheartening response from Rocko: So Future brother come in there… we chilled, we drank, everybody singin’ songs… I’m about to leave, and I go to Future’s brother, and I say, ‘Yo, bro. I need to work with your brother. We got to work together. This shit has got to happen.’ This nigga turns to me and says, ‘N*gga, my brother would never work with you. F*ck you and everything you stand for.’ I turned around…because my wife was there with me, so I didn’t want to get into no squabble… my wife was there. That would’ve just put her in a weird situation.” This is not the first time the two have had a difference of opinions over Future’s music. T-Pain called Future the “new T-Pain” on his personal instagram account earlier this year and claimed Future did not know how to use Auto Tune correctly in an interview earlier this year. Rocko responded to Pain’s statements in an interview with InFlexWeTrust earlier this year and surprisingly admits to being a T-Pain fan: I don’t know what was going on with T-Pain cause I was actually a fan of T-Pain until he said that about my brother. I just feel like he was out of line because T-Pain came in the game and he milked the game and killed the game. He made his money in the game. I’m pretty sure he still making good money. He still probably getting good residuals and still probably touring and getting good money. So I don’t understand. Check out T-Pain’s full explanation of the origins of his beef with Future below: It is with great sadness that we must report that Three Six Mafia co-founder Lord Infamous has physically left yesterday. According to Taquari Hatch, Boosie's official release date is in May but he expects Bad Azz to be home within the next two months. Taquari Hatch told NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune that a previously reported date of Aug. 18, 2014 wasn't accurate. Due to a slow down in the paperwork process at the Louisiana Department of Safety and Corrections, the automated offender locator system did not yet reflect the time off of his brother's sentence that had been accrued, he said. Torrence Hatch's current date of release is officially set for May 16, 2014, according to Taquari Hatch, thanks to a substance abuse class Torrence Hatch recently completed. Furthermore, Taquari Hatch expects Torrence Hatch will be out Feb. 16, 2014 once the rapper completes two additional classes at the Louisiana State Penitentiary. (NOLA)Boosie's brother also said fans should expect him to immediately head to the studio following his release. Whenever Torrence Hatch is released, he'll be busy. He's written more than 600 songs in the past four years as well as a book. "He has plans to go straight to the studio to begin working on an album as well as his tour," Taquari Hatch said, who usually visits his brother twice a month. Lil Boosie is already scheduled for a music tour in "late spring, early summer." (NOLA)Initial reports suggested Boosie would remain behind bars until August. Rumors have been circulating for months that Baton Rouge rapper Lil Boosie, who has been incarcerated since 2009, would be returning home from prison soon. So far, however, an actual date has just been a matter of speculation. According to New Orleans' NOLA.com, there's now a date people can look forward to: August 18, 2014. That's the date on record with the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections, the publication reported. Based on a separate conversation with Pam Laborde, the agency's communications director, NOLA.com added that Boosie will be under supervision until June 17, 2018. (Complex)Recently, LB's attorney claimed new music from the rapper was on deck along with a pending release date. Lil Boosie, the Baton Rogue rapper who is currently incarcerated on drug charges, may be seeing the light of day soon. Journalist Jeff Weiss, who covered Boosie's trial for Rolling Stone, spoke to the rapper's attorneys who shared with him information regarding his release and new music. According to Weiss's tweets, the judge agreed to return Boosie's hard drive containing some unreleased tracks. He also says attorneys believe he could be released in the next few months. "Just got word that judges have agreed to give back Boosie's hard drives and computers. It means a whole lot of new Boosie music coming soon." "No official release date yet for Boosie's return. But his attorneys say no more than four to five months from today." (XXL Mag) Don’t think the NFL is sparing no expense now that the Super Bowl is being held in New Jersey for the first time.
