Lil Baby took to Twitter to tease that his new album will be released just in time for the summer.
"7/?/22," the rapper tweeted, teasing fans with a possible July release date. With "In A Minute," "Right On," and "Frozen," the Atlanta rapper has slowly made his way back onto the music scene this year. Lil Baby previously teased the record tweeting “Its Gonna Be A Nasty Summer” ready to release his latest project since 2020.

Rick Ross has revealed that he will release two albums in the next months, giving fans a lot to look forward to this summer. The Biggest Boss said the formal announcement and title of his projects will be unveiled very soon in a recent cover story with HotNewHipHop.
He also talked about going indie after leaving Epic Records, saying that despite not having a huge label behind him, he is still in demand. “I got huge offers on the table right now. Huge huge offers. Conversation with Def Jam. Everybody,” Ross shared. “Everybody wants to be in business with Ricky Rozay. They know I make the best music when Ricky Rozay wants to make music. It's simple for me to organize massive cooperation. When I want huge collaborations it’s easy. I don’t even gotta text n****s. I can have my homies DM a n***a.”
Lupe Fiasco has just announced that in addition to announcing his eighth studio album, Drill Music in Zion, he will also be taking on the role of professor at MIT.

Gunna, the rapper behind "Pushin' P," surrendered to authorities earlier this week as part of a 28-person indictment involving members of the Young Stoner Life (YSL) group. He is charged with conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO).
Gunna appeared in court for a bond hearing on Wednesday (May 12), and he was denied bond. Gunna's attorneys, Donald F. Samuel, John A. Garland, and Kristen W. Novay, issued a statement regarding the charges. According to the statement, "Mr. Sergio Kitchens, also known as Gunna, is not guilty. The indictment portrays his music as part of a criminal plot, which is incorrect. Mr. Kitchens has been an advocate for his community, and it is our honor to represent him." Young Thug was also refused bond after appearing via video from Fulton County Jail in front of Judge Robert Wolf on Wednesday (May 11). Young Thug is charged with conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) and one count of criminal street gang activity. Drugs and firearms were also discovered at Young Thug's residence after officials conducted a search warrant, leading to additional charges. Following up on his last solo effort “The Worst” along with his two collaborative songs with Giggs (“Lean”) and Headie One (“Warzone”), North-West London musician M Huncho, has released his latest pre-album record, enlisting Alabama-born rap talent Yung Bleu for “Who We Are”.
This slick, transatlantic effort, which is underpinned by Benjamin Lasnier and Pilfinger's slow-rolling trap music, sees the two rappers employ their Auto-Tuned melodies to full effect as they rhyme about their newfound fame and fortune, and what it took to acquire it. While there's a lot of chemistry here, M Huncho appears to be more mature than ever, which makes us question if the same intensity will be maintained throughout his debut album, Chasing Euphoria, which will be released on May 20. NBA Youngboy has returned with a new single, following the announcement of The Last Slimento album last month, which saw the rapid release of eleven tracks. Entitled “Don’t Rate Me,” the rapper invited Quavo to make a guest appearance on the tune.
It's unknown whether this new song will be on The Last Slimento, which is set to release on August 5 on streaming services. Regardless, YoungBoy has continued to release new music on a regular basis. Megan Thee Stallion has revealed further details about the night she was shot by Torey Lanez in July of 2020 Megan Pete, the rapper's true name, told Gayle King what happened the night Lanez allegedly shot her in both feet at a party in Los Angeles in her first TV interview, which aired today (April 25) on CBS Mornings.
Archie Eversole, an Atlanta-based rapper best known for his hit single "We Ready" featuring Bubba Sparxxx, died at the age of 37.
On March 25, Archie, born Arthur Eversole, was shot at a Chevron gas station on Snapfinger Woods Drive, and police responded to a complaint about the shooting. He was transferred to a local hospital, where his injuries were treated, and he died on April 3rd. Alexander Kraus, Archie's brother, has been accused with his murder, according to Georgia's DeKalb County police. Kraus was initially charged with aggravated assault following the gunshot, but his charges were increased to murder after Eversole died, according to local sources.
